Julie Ann Weiler
is a San Diego-based singer-songwriter with a passion for lyrics and melody that reaches deep into the soul. Hints of pop, country, gospel and alternative rock emerge from her music, depending on the muse or medium of the song.
Born into a non-traditional traveling missionary family, she experienced international culture from a young age and learned to empathize with many different walks of life. She says that writing is a form of therapy for her and a way to help others who may be in a place of grief or emotional pain.
Performing with her family as a child and having some of her original inspirational songs published worldwide throughout her teen and young adult years, Julie Ann began to pursue a career in mainstream music during the early to mid-2000s. Various opportunities arose to bring her singing and songwriting talents to a broad commercial audience. She received offers to have her music played on popular TV shows, earned chances to work with award-winning music producers, and was highly ranked in music competitions.
As the 2008 recession came into play, Julie Ann was faced with the reality of providing for her growing family and had to make the choice to put her music dreams on temporary hold. During her ten-year hiatus from music, she would focus on being a mother of three and a business owner- bringing others' visions to life by running a full-service wedding planning company.
Feeling an undeniable call to return to her soul’s passion to create again, she dove headfirst into her music journey in late 2019 and has spent the past 4 years honing her craft, writing and recording new songs, and filming music videos.
Being discovered by industry experts via social media in 2023 led to receiving more opportunities to promote her heart’s work and landed two of her latest releases on UK Music Week’s Commercial Pop Top 30. The exposure pivoted her latest single, “I Never Left” onto the U.S. Radio Top 40 where it held its ground for 7 weeks straight ahead of 4th of July in Summer 2024.
